As one way of promoting preventive measures on covid-19 pandemic, Dowa Police Station through Community Policing Branch on Wednesday , July 14 2021, embarked on new covid-19 rules and regulations and Kabaza operators awareness in the District.
Dowa Police through its Public Relations Officer , Sub Inspector Gladson M’bumpha, said the team visited different Trading centres in the district and conducted the sensitization meeting with people on new covid-19 rules and regulations and also give an awareness to the Kabaza operators on how they can avoid accidents when they are operating their business.
The team further warned people in the district that anyone who will not abide to the new rules of covid-19 ,will face the arrest as some suspects are already under Police custody for the same offense.
Meanwhile, the team also took a turn and gave a strong warning to unscrupulous venders against using uncertified scales and purchasing farm produce without licenses.
Making the remarks, Group Village Headman Msakambewa, commended Dowa Police for the initiative ,saying that the sensitization has come at right time to protect poor farmers from being exploited.
The team visited Msakambewa, Chibazi, Chibwata, Dowa Turn Off, Dzaleka Refugee Camp, Dowa Boma, Mvera, Nalunga and Chankhungu Trading Centres. The campaign will run for 20 days in all policing areas under Dowa Police Station.
