There is a new and exciting voice in house music artist Nomzi Ndlovu new single, Baphi omalume, which talks about a man who always promises to marry a girl, but he is not sending his uncle to go and pay lobola. He then answers, saying; my uncles are coming, he is done playing games he is serious now and willing to settle down with me.

The song will be released this month end, and this distinctive voice is that of the blossoming female vocalist, Nomzi, who composed the song herself.

The manner in which she slid into the high-tempo of the house beat mocked her lack of experience in the field.

It is safe to say that the 27-year-old up-and-coming artist danced and conquered where many cannot even dare to go.

Although Nomzi is relatively unknown in the music industry circles, her performance in the song is a height of years of self-molding and training in the lower ranks of music, according to the Cape Town based producer, Maxwell.

She said her mom was a catechist in the church and she had huge passion for worship songs and that she never missed a chance to join her mother during her music performances.

Nomzi added that at times she could even join her mother as she went for choir practices.

“I started singing at 12, there about. The experience made me to develop interest in listening to a lot of international artists, such as Rabecca Malope, Sipho Makhabane and Cece Winas,” she said.

Though Nomzi has laid herself a case in the music industry, she is yet to release an album.

She has previously worked with VJ Ice, among others, and now working with Phyzix and Tay Grin in her upcoming album to be performed at Lake of Stars in Malawi.

However, with promising performances she has shown, music fans may not have to wait for long to get the best from the young lady.

When quizzed about the artist she feels is the best, as a passionate music lover, she said it is hard to point out a particular artist, indicated that but stressed that idolizing a lot of them who have tremendous songs is the best she could.
